rainbow cake

it was months ago, i decided to bake a rainbow cake. it's basically a sponge cake with lots of colours. cantik! at first the idea to bake this cake is forgotten because i didn't have an oven, but since i purchased one from a senior (rasanya pernah cerita dalam blog) the burning desire (haha) to bake this cake is overwhelming so yesterday i baked one for Mira's surprise birthday party.

but i was overconfident and over-imaginative, the icing was a major failure *nangis*. i used two recipes and i failed both?! Kak Mier said i have to mix the white egg at least 20-30 minutes (?) for it to become very light and very frothy. i was impatient, of course. it's such a waste of time to mix and wait for half an hour for the icing heh, so not me haha.

since there's no icing and i was so upset sebab tak jadi, i used Hershey's chocolate as "glue" to stick three layers of the cake. eh, jadi pulak? hehe. but the presentation was really bad but Alhamdulillah everyone enjoyed it and wanted for more! too bad i baked one cake for 15 (or so) people haha.

mission accomplished! :')

lagi 30 minit i ada usrah and i promised Najwa to bake apple crumble for her, in return she will bake kek batik for me yeay! i love kek batik tapi tak pernah buat so i assume i tak pandai buat so tak pernah cuba, eh faham tak? haha. lagipun, it's so pathetic to bake a cake for yourself T__T usually when i bake a cake, i'll eat a slice or two the rest semua orang lain habiskan -,- but i don't mind :)

p/s : Hajar cakap kek macam Play-doh. grr.
